Psychotherapy can help treat challenges and symptoms of mental and physical health. Psychotherapy is similar to counseling however psychotherapy tends to look more deeply at addressing underlying causes of a person problems. Our new Contemplative Awareness Therapy can assist a person to understand their feelings and equip them to face new challenges, both in the present and to move ahead in the future. 

Some session last for only a few weeks, while others may continue for months or years, depending on the person’s needs. Individual sessions usually last for around 45–90 minutes and can be done in person, by phone or remotely on-line. .

Sessions may be conducted one-to-one, in pairs, or in groups. Techniques can include talking and other forms of communication, such as drama, story-telling, with are or music.

An assessment is a self assessment and conversation between your therapist yourself you’re your motivational therapist together. It is comprised from the details provided from your self-assessment of any current issues, family dynamics, career goals. Along with assessing exercise patterns, healthy eating habits, sleep behaviours, hobbies and professional skills. 

 

Once you have established enough skills and confidence to impact your long term health and wellness and have bounced back better, we will re-access how you are doing periodically. (every 6 months)   

 

A motivational action plan is a personalized plan that begins with discussions of simple shifts in mindset between your motivational therapist and yourself. It is an agreeable goal plan that is obtainable and you are willing to invest time and energy into to get the results you desire. It usually takes 45 minutes and can be done in person, on-line or by phone.  In sessions working together with your motivational therapist weekly routinely re-accessing progress every step of the way.
